Project 365 - Week 21: Day 4

May 23

Photobucket

The triplets and their pre-k teachers on graduation day. We had a fantastic year of school, but are ready for summer. Their two teachers are SO sweet!

While heading to a park to play, we passed by this field of American flags. (I think they were for sale to raise money for something?) Something about our flag, always gets me feeling patriotic!

The ball players on game day. This is our first endeavor at organized sports. Abby and I got Emmett and Alex on the same team, which makes it all the more fun. Watching their games is pretty funny! When they are in the outfield, Emmett is all over the place (both physically and spiritually), while Alex stands in one spot and doesn't move until he's told to. But up to bat, they are both serious and each hit the ball a few times!

It wasn't quite windy enough to fly the kite, but Emmett was determined to get it off the ground!

My sweet neice Hailey. (The funny thing about this picture is that she was in time out when I took it. Actually all the kids were. My mom, sister and her friend visited for the weekend so we congregated at Abby's in the afternoon and evening. And somehow all the adults managed to have some errand to run, leaving me the last one with 4 of the kids. And when I'm in charge, time-outs are much more frequent.) Back to Hailey. Even though she is more grown up everyday, she still looks like an American Girl Doll to me.

Emmett loves to wear his bathrobe after a bath. We had a super relaxed morning, so he even wore it while eating breakfast.

Pretty excited about his new coach pitch uniform. We just tried the hat on in order to keep the rest of the ensemble clean!

Emmett loves playing games! And he's super competitive. (Not sure where he gets that. Definitly not from me!)

We had an awesome day, at our favorite park. It was overcast, but still warm. We even had a picnic lunch with some wonderful friends.

Project 365 - Week 20: Day 2

May 14

My mother's day present.

Photobucket

(The case, not the phone.) (To replace a super slick case that was always making me drop my phone.)

Mother's Day

Me and my precious little stinker.

Project 365 - Week 19: Day 7

May 12

It was the perfect day for a hike up to Table Rock.

Photobucket

This picture must have been near the beginning of the hike, before the whining set in. It was actually a pretty easy hike, but some of the trail was a little boring for Emmett. I think all in all, we had a lot of fun!

Since Brent was still on vacation, we decided to hit the Westside Drive-In for lunch. They have a huge selection of burgers! It was super windy, so we opted to eat in the car instead of out on the patio.

And, as we were there, some Meridian fireman showed up. They were nice enough to let the kids climb on the truck and try on the helmets.

Project 365 - Week 19: Day 3

May 8

We found this nasty little black widow in our yard. The first picture is my attempt on this day to get a good shot of her. The next two are from about a week and a half later.

Disgusting, right? And yet, for some reason, I was fascinated.

Brent got a week off between spring and summer semesters, so we managed to take a little trip. Little, in that it was just one night at a cabin about an hour away. So, Monday we took Emmett to school and headed up to the mountains. We got a whole day and night to ourselves, and Emmett got 24 hours of Hoefering.

My newest obsession is saving glass jars in order to reuse them. And our favorite salsa just happens to come in this handy wide mouth size. I decided I would try making individual desserts in these jars, just to see how it turned out. I think I like it!

My favorite crumble topping. I make a double batch and keep it in the freezer. Perfect when you want to make a little dessert.

A common Saturday morning occurence. Emmett crawling into our bed so he and Brent can play Plants vs. Zombies on the iPad.

Project 365 - Week 18: Day 6

May 4 Photobucket Another pinterest recipe. Cinnamon Swirl Bread (copycat of Great Harvest.) Of course, mine looks nothing like the picture. And my loaves look like they could have used a little more flour. But, I like the recipe nonetheless.

Project 365 - Week 18: Day 5

May 3 Photobucket I have posted before about my love of Starbucks Cityscape mugs. Well, my in-laws traveled to England and such to visit Brent's sister. (She and her husband are living there for the next few year.) So, of course, I put in my request. And please keep in mind, that I reqested "A" Starbucks mug. Meaning 1. But my sweet mother-in-law, went way overboard and got us 6! There is also one from Brent's sister, who went to Australia, so Carol brought back that one as well. And, (not pictured) are 4 mini-mugs for Emmett. Our cupboard is now bursting at the seams with all these mugs! Photobucket We have seen more than one rainbow this spring. I just can't get over how much I love seeing them! The usually only last a few minutes, so we all stand out on our back patio and just look.

Project 365 - Week 18: Day 4

May 2 Photobucket Photobucket Emmett enjoying the beautiful sunshine.

Project 365 - Week 18: Day 3

May 1 Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket It was such a nice day, that we decided to take the 5-year-olds to the Botanical Gardens for a picnic. It's such a fun area! The kids did awesome and I found some pretty flowers to capture.

Project 365 - Week 18: Day 2

April 30 Photobucket The kids were supposed to have a picnic at school, but it ended up getting rescheduled and then canceled because of rain. So, we decided to have an indoor picnic at the Hoefer's, complete with Lunchables!
